Why is American Camp Association (ACA) accreditation so important?
To achieve ACA accreditation, Camp Haverim underwent a thorough review of its operations, programs and documentation by the ACA, including an on-site visit. The ACA reviewed the Camp’s compliance with over 100 health, safety and program quality standards – from staff qualifications and training to health care and emergency policies and procedures. The Camp passed with flying colors. The ACA collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross and other agencies in developing their best practices in health and safety standards.
